Jo Townsend has been appointed as the new chief executive of the Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation. The crown entity, which manages the $70 billion super fund, will retain Paula Steed as acting CEO until April. Townsend will be its first external CEO appointment since Adrian Orr in 2007.
