The Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) said it has appointed Karen Silk as assistant governor and general manager of economics, financial markets and banking although her start date hasn't been set yet.Silk will fill the role previously held by Christian Hawkesby who is now deputy governor.She has worked for Westpac since returning to New Zealand in 2012 and had previously worked for Westpac in Australia.
