The Reserve Bank of New Zealand has beefed up its cyber security requirements, wanting its regulated entities to report material incidents “as soon as possible”.After seeking feedback last year, the bank (RBNZ) is implementing new requirements in phases over 2024.They included reporting material incidents within 72 hours as well as large entities to be required to report all incidents every six months and other entities annually.Entities will also have to report to the RBNZ on self-assessment against the bank’s guidance on cyb...
