Tourism Holdings slashes staff bill, reports $27.4m profit

Tourism Holdings has reported statutory net profit of $27.4 million, a full-year result chairman Rob Campbell said was “admirable” given the shock to the business from covid-19.It recorded underlying net profit of $20 million, down 28 percent on the prior year result of $27.9 million.THL received $5.3 million from the NZ and Australian wage subsidy schemes.The listed tourism company, which operates the Maui, Britz and Mighty campervan rental brands in NZ and has operations in Australia, the US and the UK, reported revenue of $401 mi...
