FMA appoints Liam Mason as general counsel

The Financial Markets Authority (FMA) has promoted its director of regulation to take over as its top lawyer.Liam Mason will be assuming the role of general counsel from Nick Kynoch who has left the FMA to work for Generate Kiwisaver.  It marks the beginning of a period of senior leadership change at the regulator as chief executive Rob Everett has also signalled his intention to step down from the job at the end of the year.Everett said Mason brings “deep experience and institutional knowledge” to the role, having worked at th...
