The New Zealand Medical Cannabis Council says doctors importing unregulated products, such as popular cannabidiol-infused gummy bears or hemp extracts, are threatening the fledgling local cannabis industry.Executive director Sally King said the council, which represents about 30 licensed cannabis producers and distributors, is aware of dozens of examples where doctors and medical prescribers are flouting a legal loophole.Section 25 of the Medicines Act allows prescribers to procure the sale or supply of any medicine for a patient in their care...
