About 600 employees at Lyttelton Port Company (LPC) will receive a $500 performance bonus after the port moved back into the black with profits after tax of $16 million to June.The bonus comes as 15 of LPC's 300 frontline staff failed to be vaccinated by yesterday's government deadline, and have been redeployed into other duties.A spokesperson for LPC said the pre-tax payment was not an incentive for staff to get vaccinated. The country’s third-busiest port and second biggest by exports, plunged to an after tax loss of $152.8...
