A large housing development in Beachlands South has been given the go-ahead with the approval of a change to the Auckland Unitary Plan.The private plan change rezones land south of the Beachlands township on the eastern fringe of the city.The development, on land encompassing the Formosa Golf Course, 620 Whitford-Maraetai Rd and 712 Whitford-Maraetai Rd, is set to include green spaces, a new village centre with shops, cafés and restaurants, a coastal walkway and a commercial and business centre.The development is backed by the Beachlands...
