Christchurch metro sports builder seeking $15m less

The contractor delivering a major Christchurch swimming pool complex appears to be seeking $15 million less in claims.The Parakiore Recreation and Sport Centre, previously referred to as the metro sports facility, is one of the last outstanding post-earthquake anchor projects.The build is being managed by Rau Paenga, the crown infrastructure delivery agency formerly known as Ōtākaro, the Christchurch rebuild agency.Last December, Treasury’s 2022 half year economic and fiscal update said six claims totalling $212m had been lodged by the co...
