City transport needs '3x' the $37b allocated - Shane Ellison

Auckland Transport head Shane Ellison says it will take closer to $100 billion in spending over the next decade to deliver the transport system Auckland needs. Ellison told an Infrastructure New Zealand forum that the government and the city had committed spending of $37b to 2031, but he fully expects that amount to grow."It'll take double or triple that number to deliver the transport system Aucklanders will be satisfied with.”He said it’s clear the same situation applies across a number of infrastructure classes.&nbs...
