The Commerce Commission is proposing a largely flat real revenue path for gas pipeline businesses over the next regulatory period while completing a major shift to shorter asset lives, bringing forward the recovery of pipeline costs as gas demand declines.The draft Default Price-Quality Path (DPP4), released Thursday, covers the five years from October 2026 and applies to Firstgas Transmission, Firstgas Distribution, Powerco, GasNet and Vector.Total maximum allowable revenue across the sector would rise from $399 million in 2025/26 to $420m in...
