Fletcher alliance chosen for $1.4b Auckland bus development

Auckland Transport has selected a Fletcher Construction-led consortium to design and build the completion stages of the $1.4 billion Eastern Busway projects, it said today.The partnership includes Spanish firm Acciona, as well as construction and engineering consultancy firms Aecom and Jacobs, who have entered into an interim project alliance agreement to start design and consenting work.Construction is expected to begin in 2022 and create hundreds of direct jobs, AT chief executive Shane Ellison said.The project will extend the rapid transit b...
