Genesis coal burn at 7-year high
Coal-fired generation from Genesis Energy’s Huntly operations was the highest in more than seven years in the September quarter, amid low hydro storage and reduced natural gas supplies.The company, which also runs three hydro schemes and a wind farm, delivered 585 gigawatt-hours of electricity from its dual-fuel Rankine units at Huntly during the three months.
