NZAS, govt to split $1m Mataura clean-up cost

New Zealand Aluminium Smelters and the Ministry for the Environment are splitting the $1 million cost of removing toxic smelter waste from Mataura’s former paper mill.Removal of the material — known as Ouvea premix — has begun and is expected to take between eight and 12 weeks.
