The latest covid-19 restrictions vindicate Refining NZ’s decision to trim down its operations, chief executive Naomi James said. Fuel offtake from the Marsden Point refinery is starting to reflect the level 3 restrictions in Auckland, although that impact won’t be material if they last only the two weeks signalled by the government. “But if it’s longer than that it does start to impact how we run the refinery,” James told BusinessDesk.
