Auckland needs to enable more housing in areas set to benefit from the city rail link to take full advantage of the massive public investment into the project, an expert says.Auckland Council and the Government are co-funding the $5.5 billion rail link, a 3.5-kilometre tunnel connecting the central station, Britomart/Waitematā, with Mt Eden/Maungawhau station on the western train line.As BusinessDesk has previously reported, the funders are hoping to recoup some of their costs by selling development rights to land located near the new stat...
