Transpower is forecasting a massive increase in costs to maintain and expand the national electricity grid which, will require a more than 46% rise in revenue to be recovered from almost $2 billion more in charges in the years ahead.Transpower submitted a proposal to its regulator, the Commerce Commission, every five years on the revenue it would recover from customers while also outlining what it would spend the money on.The state-owned enterprise (SOE) has released its first proposal for the regulatory control period (RCP) covering 2025-2030....
