Aucklanders could be paying $29 more a month under a proposal to hike charges for water and wastewater services by 25.8%.The potential increase, which would take effect from July 1, was included in a consultation document on the draft long-term plan (LTP) produced by Auckland council, which is due to go out for public consultation from Feb 28.Councils were initially barred from including water services in their LTPs, but the restriction, which was linked to the reform programme pursued by the previous government and the creation of 10 new water...
