The New Zealand Law Society council has endorsed Anderson Lloyd partner Frazer Barton as its new president following the early resignation of Jacque Lethbridge.Lethbridge announced her departure earlier this month after a culture review found her behaviour was "aggressive and irrational".Dunedin-based Barton, who has served as the vice-president of the Law Society board since April 2020, will be the 33rd president and the first from the South Island since Austin Forbes, KC, in 1996.It could be something of a caretaker role, however, b...
