Former Governor-General Patsy Reddy has been appointed as New Zealand’s chair of the Climate Change Commission.She replaces the commission’s first chair, Rod Carr, whose five-year term ended on Dec 8.In the interim, deputy chair Lisa Tumahai will be acting chair of the commission. Climate Change Minister Simon Watts said Reddy had an extensive and distinguished career in law and governance to bring to the role. Reddy served as Governor-General from 2016 to 2021.
