The shareholder objector to the $1.28 billion takeover of Metlifecare withdrew his application, ahead of a court hearing in the High Court at Auckland today.During a brief hearing Justice Graham Lang said he will make final orders on Metlifecare’s acquisition by Swiss suitor Asia Pacific Village Group this afternoon.“The fact that this is a short hearing doesn’t mean this isn’t something that I haven’t given careful thought to.
