UPDATED: Aviation authority suspends insolvent Pacific Aerospace

The Civil Aviation Authority has stopped short of grounding aircraft produced by Pacific Aerospace after suspending the Hamilton-based company's commercial certification, which stops it working on aircraft.The CAA said the action was taken after the aircraft designer and manufacturer advised the aviation safety agency it was insolvent on Wednesday, meaning it was unable to meet its obligations under the Civil Aviation Act.Deputy chief executive aviation safety Dean Winter said the CAA and the firm were working through the implications for P...
