Minister of Racing Winston Peters wants to overturn select committee recommendations that gave TAB New Zealand less discretion over how it refuses customers' bets.The statutory body responsible for sports betting in NZ, TAB NZ, lobbied Peters for an 11th-hour amendment to leave restrictions on its ability to refuse bets out of primary legislation.On Friday, Peters’ advisor, Jon Johansson, asked MPs to accept a last-minute amendment of the Racing Industry Amendment Bill ahead of its expected second reading this week...
