Little financial impact from covid-19 for nearly a third of employees

While much of the focus on the economic devastation wrought by the coronavirus crisis has been on small- to medium-sized businesses, a survey of larger firms suggests about 61 percent are running normally, so nearly a third of employees have suffered little or no financial impact. Another survey of smaller businesses by the Auckland Business Chamber found 43 percent had been able to operate online, although 57 percent said they couldn't.
