MARKET CLOSE: NZ shares mixed; Diligent gains, Goodman Fielder drops

July 23 (BusinessDesk) - New Zealand shares were mixed, with the NZX 50 Index eking out a 0.04 percent gain, as Freightways and Diligent Board Member Services extended their advance and Goodman Fielder fell after giving guidance. The NZX 50 Index rose 1.65 points from the lowest level in almost three weeks to 3465.36. Within the index, 19 stocks fell, 17 rose and 14 were unchanged. Turnover was a lower0-than-average $74 million. Investors are looking ahead to earnings season amid optimism the local economy hasn’t suffered as much as the rest...
