SkyCity’s Auckland property held the casino and hotel operator’s head above water for the half year to December, enabling net profits of $22.5 million, though still down 1.3% on the comparable period’s $22.8m.That was off group revenues which came in at $445.2m, with earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (Ebitda) slipping 5% at $101m on generally tighter consumer spending.The bright spark was at SkyCity Auckland, with 2.5 million visitors through its doors during the period.
