Mercury Energy downgrades earnings guidance on dry weather

Mercury Energy has downgraded its earnings guidance by $60 million for the year ending June 30, 2025, blaming dry weather and projected low lake levels in the coming months.The generator’s guidance for earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation, amortisation and fair value adjustments (ebitdaf) is now $760m, compared with the $820m guidance issued in its 2024 annual report.Mercury stuck with the $820m guidance in its Dec 31, 2024, half-year interim report.
