Mainfreight managing director Don Braid says New Zealand’s economy is in pain and the Reserve Bank seems to be using outdated data to make decisions. Braid told the Sharesies Shared Lunch Podcast “it’s a hard road right now across most markets”, pointing to the global economic climate and belt-tightening under way in tandem with high interest rates. Braid said the state of the economy and the state of the retail sector has curtailed the amount of freight the New Zealand Exchange (NZX) listed giant is moving.&nb...
