Engaged and assertive investors with an eye on value are driving increased shareholder activism – and it is benefiting the companies targeted. A new report released on March 31 authored by Russell McVeagh’s corporate partner David Raudkivi found statistics were hard to pin down, but NZ was following the global trend with an observable increase in shareholder activism.On the NZX, Vista Group, Bremworth, PGG Wrightson, NZME, Hallenstein Glasson and Fletcher Building have been the subject of shareholder activism, and their boards...
