Publisher of the New Zealand Herald, NZME, told shareholders at a closed-door investor day that it aims to have more than 210,000 subscribers by the end of 2023.The media company reported having 177,500 subscribers in the first half of 2021 – up from 169,000 in 2020 – with 38% of those digital-only customers.NZME wants the majority of its subscriptions to be digital-only in 2023 as it pushes the business towards a digital future.Investors have responded positively to the digital transformation, pivot to premium online news and effor...
