Blue-chip stocks recovered some lost ground as the New Zealand sharemarket made a quick turnaround with a rise of nearly 1%.The S&P/NZX 50 Index picked up at lunchtime after the Australian market opened strongly, and the local index closed at 11,891.44, up 115.56 points or 0.98%.There were 37.4 million share transactions worth $146.3m.
