The final carbon auction of the year takes place on Wednesday with participants saying the likely outcome is a bit of a mystery.The fourth auction will offer up 4.75 million New Zealand units (NZUs) with the current spot price trading near $65.There are no more available reserves this year to be triggered by passing the ceiling price and this is adding to the uncertainty about what strategy bidders will take.In the third auction in September, the ceiling price of $50 was cleared bringing in seven million reserves units sold at $54.85.
