Two new positions are coming to Auckland Airport to help lead the business’ customer transformation and infrastructure sectors.
Chief executive Carrie Hurihanganui said the company had a “renewed vision” to transform the Tāmaki Makaurau airport into a world-class travel experience.
“Not just a place where people go from A to B, but a place where the journey brings as much enjoyment as the destination,” she said.
Auckland Airport's general manager for aeronautical commercial, Scott Tasker, will be taking on the role of general manager of customer and aero commercial and would oversee the organisation’s customer strategy.
Hurihanganui said Tasker – who has been with the business since 2017 – brought a wealth of experience to the role.
“As aviation recovers and we ramp up our infrastructure development programme, we want to ensure that we are focused on the customer experience every step of the way,” she said.
Mary-Liz Tuck, the airport’s general manager of corporate services, will oversee the centralisation and coordination of infrastructure planning in her new role.
Hurihanganui said Tuck had played a “key role” in the airport’s recovery through the pandemic and would lead the organisation’s infrastructure strategy and transformation into the 2023 financial year.
Both Tasker and Tuck will take up their new roles from June 7.
