Vital posts small profit as pursuer Empire Capital tidies up its takeover notice

Partial takeover target Vital has reported a small profit for the year to June 30. The New Zealand Exchange-listed business telecommunications firm reported a $27,000 profit after tax, a turnaround from the prior financial year’s $183,000 loss. The firm reported revenue of $26.9 million, a decrease of 4.5% from about $28.1m in the previous financial year. Adjusted net profit after tax fell 45% year-on-year after a 65% decrease booked for a lower lease accounting gain. Chief executive officer Jason Bull&n...
