Summary It's all about GDP. Today’s big event is the December quarter GDP data at 10.45am. Economists’ forecasts are in a wide range around zero growth, largely due to weak tourism and hospitality revenues over a summer without international tourists. ASB expects GDP contracted by 0.1% over the quarter, with GDP up just 0.1% from a year ago. Westpac sees a 0.3% drop in GDP for the December quarter and 0.1% for the year.
