Wētā FX ditches LA-based CEO, looks for NZ replacement

Wellington-based visual effects company Wētā FX has today announced that its chief executive, Prem Akkaraju, has been removed from his position.In a statement, Wētā FX said it was “shifting the responsibilities of its executive team after it has become clear the company would benefit from New Zealand-based leadership to manage its almost 2,000-member crew”.Akkaraju, who was based in Los Angeles in the US will, however, remains a shareholder and director of the company but he “is no longer worldwide CEO”.He joined Wētā FX...
