MYOB lifts sales, profit in NZ as Xero rival awaits clearance for Reckon acquisition

By Jonathan Underhill March 7 (BusinessDesk) - MYOB Group, the Australian tax, accounting and business software company, lifted sales and profit in New Zealand in 2017 while seeking regulatory clearance on both sides of the Tasman to buy accounting software firm Reckon. Profit at MYOB New Zealand Group rose to $4.8 million in calendar 2017 from $2.98 million a year earlier, according to the company's annual report. Sales rose to $97.9 million from $83.5 million.
