Auckland consents breach $1b for September

Auckland accounted for about 44 percent of all building consents by value for September, or more than $1 billion of a national total of $2.4 billion, according to Stats NZ.Of the 3,605 new homes consented for the month, 1,734 were granted in Auckland, which Stats NZ said was the highest number of monthly new homes consented in the city since October 2002.
