Business confidence subdued but stable

Business confidence and firms' own activity held steady in the preliminary ANZ Business Outlook, but other indicators are pointing to glimmers of economic growth. Headline confidence was a net minus 15.6 percent in November and the own activity outlook was a net 4.6 percent, both 0.1 of a percentage point below the October figures.“Both business confidence and own activity barely moved and remain at subdued levels but definitely in the ‘could be worse’ category,” said ANZ’s chief economist Sharon Zollner....
