The Commerce Commission has begun reviewing the proposed merger of Orcon Group and 2degrees.Orcon Group, formerly Vocus NZ, is the New Zealand subsidiary of Vocus Group, the Australian-based telecoms entity previously ASX-listed and now owned by Macquarie Asset Management and Aware Super. A proposed acquisition application dated Jan 4 states 100% of 2degrees’ shares would be acquired from its shareholders Trilogy International and Tesbrit B.V. by Voyage Digital (NZ) Limited, a newly incorporated Vocus Group company.The new company wo...
