The Financial Markets Authority’s top lawyer, Nick Kynoch, is leaving the regulator to become the general counsel at Generate Kiwisaver.Kynoch joined the FMA as general counsel in 2016 after leaving his role as head of conduct risk and contentious regulatory compliance at Barclays Investment Bank in London.FMA chief executive Rob Everett said Kynoch had been “invaluable” to the regulator.“Nick has made a superb contribution to the FMA over the past five years, leading the FMA’s teams in the areas of investigations,...
