Manufacturing sector continues to expand in April

New Zealand's manufacturing sector continued to expand in April, hitting the second-highest result since July 2020 when NZ came out of lockdown.The seasonally adjusted PMI for April was 58.4, according to the latest BNZ – BusinessNZ Performance of Manufacturing Index (PMI).While it was 5.2 points lower than March, it remains firmly in expansionary territory and is still well above the PMI’s long-term average of 53.1.
