National plans $3k quarantine fee

A National government will implement a fee of $3,000 for single adults to enter quarantine on their return to New Zealand, if the party wins the September electionBorder response spokesman Gerry Brownlee said the fee will be used to offset the currently taxpayer funded costs of accommodation and food over the 14 days of required quarantine for people entering NZ.Additional adults in the same party, sharing accommodation, will be charged $1,000 while children over the age of three, will be levied a fee of $500.Brownlee said the fee will apply to...
