Immigration border staff are striking from New Year's Eve during the busy holiday travel period.Border operations staff gave notice on Monday that they would be taking strike action on Tuesday in response to what the Public Service Association (PSA) said was a proposed 0% pay rise. Under the strike action, workers will not do unpaid work asked of them and will synchronise their rest and meal breaks.Labour MP Willow-Jean Prime sympathised with the border operations staff going on strike.“This is an unsurprising consequence of a Go...
