NZ mines help OceanaGold overcome covid impacts

North Otago's Macraes gold mine produced 144,487 ounces of gold in 2020 and pushed production to 42,564 ounces in the fourth quarter.This helped parent OceanaGold to a 57 percent increase in productivity in the fourth quarter compared to the previous quarter to a shade under 100,000 ounces, the company told the ASX today.That reflected higher head grades from mining at Coronation North and Gay Tan, the firm said in its preliminary operational results for the year to December 2020.Resumption of processing at Waihi saw it chip in 7,604 ounces...
