The Government has eased New Zealand Post’s minimum service obligations, cutting mail delivery frequency and further shrinking its retail network.Under a revised Postal Deed of Understanding, urban and PO Box deliveries might decrease from three to two days a week, while rural deliveries will drop from five to three, with the days required to be spaced across the week.The number of postal outlets will be reduced from 880 to a minimum of 500, then to just over 400 after four years, although NZ Post must maintain at least 120 staffed outlet...
