The New Zealand Shareholders’ Association will vote its proxies against the $6 per share takeover offer of Metlifecare by Swedish buyout firm EQT at the special meeting on Oct. 2.The offer is the second from EQT, which pulled an earlier $7 per share offer blaming the impact of the covid-19 pandemic for its withdrawal.The association told its members the NZ Superannuation Fund, which owns 20 percent, and other institutional investors support the offer and it will probably succeed, but noted EQT has hired Georgeson Shareholder Communication...
