Sanford, Sealord hit by Chinese suspensions

Chinese customs on Monday suspended imports of seafood products from a Sanford mussel processing site in Havelock and a Sealord finfish and fishmeal processor in Nelson.Both sites underwent live video audits by the GACC in January, the Chinese authority responsible for Chinese customs.Sanford said the authority raised a number of queries with it following the audit and "has placed a suspension on imports from that plant while these are resolved."
