Tourism Holdings has announced its board chair and director Rob Campbell has resigned effective immediately.
The campervan rental business told the NZX this morning that Campbell – who spent nine years as the company's chair and as a director – had resigned from the board “in order to focus on other work commitments”.
This includes his role as chair of Health New Zealand and overseeing the reforms to Pae Ora healthcare.
Tourism Holdings said that the board had accepted Campbell’s resignation and Cathy Quinn, the company’s sustainability and risk committee chair, would be the board’s chair from today.
Quinn has also spent the last five years as one of the business’s Auckland directors.
Tourism Holdings remuneration and nomination committee chair Gráinne Troute said Quinn’s strong governance and commercial experience would enable her to “seamlessly” step into the role of chair of the board.
Quinn said she was excited to continue to work with the company’s board and “lead Tourism Holdings through its exciting next chapter”.
