Vodafone will join 2degrees in enabling Wi-Fi calling to select compatible smartphone handsets.Wi-Fi calling is a feature that allows regular calls and texts that usually work via a cellular connection to instead be sent over a Wi-Fi connection.The service is helpful for people who live in areas with poor cell reception or in buildings that block reception but still want to use traditional call and text.Calls and texts are not free when using Wi-Fi calling and still count towards customers’ mobile plans.
